There are many opportunities and responsibility in the Upper School

Our program in the Upper School is based on active learning, learning by doing, learning by challenging, and stretching in ways that promote growth.

The School strives to instill within each child a balance between individual development and commitment to community. Our invigorating and supportive environment stimulates and promotes ethical, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in every student.
Every year school elections are held where students from classes V to XII participates in voting and selects the various posts for the school’s betterment like Head Boy, Head Girl, School’s Cabinet Members, Sports Captain etc. After the relaxing summer vacations, the students are prepared for their First Term examination which is conducted every year in the month of September. To refresh students minds after examination various Trips and Tours are also organized.

For a student of this age, the most valuable skills and knowledge are not composed of isolated facts and repetitive drills, but come from the child’s ability to make meaning of the work by integrating it with prior knowledge and experience.
Students are given special emphasis in sports which includes Cricket, Football, Chess, Badminton, Table -Tennis, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Athletics, etc. Students are given special coaching in these sports events and then they perform at Zonal, District, State and National Level and bring every year lots of medals and trophies and makes school proud of it.
Learning beyond the walls is a nature of Davians So DAV has also become a part of NCC Ropar. Under NCC 100 Cadets seats for boys and girls are reserved in Junior Division (JD). Every year NCC students join a week long NCC camp where they learn various activities like Shooting, Drill, Cultural Activities, Personality Development etc.
DAV also runs NSS where students are taught to develop among themselves a sense of social civic responsibility. Our students also attend various camps. NSS students give special emphasis in rural areas and make the people more aware about the cleanliness and how to keep themselves more hygienic. Students also come out with various rallies and street plays.

We welcome the pupils experiences and of all members of our community
