There are many opportunities and responsibility in the Middle School

Our program in the Lower School is based on active learning, learning by doing, learning by challenging, and stretching in ways that promote growth.

The Lower School strives to instill within each child a balance between individual development and commitment to community. Our invigorating and supportive environment stimulates and promotes ethical, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in every student.
Learning is the process of constantly updating in an ever changing world. The middle school time of a child’s life is a key to predicting ultimate success in personal life. As child develops rapidly during this time; physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially Learning at our school is based on the fundamental principles of life; teaching the child to be courageous, confident, disciplined, responsible and loyal. At DAV learning is a two-way process; where the teachers first try and understand each individual child so as to provide them with the most easy and adaptable techniques and a conducive ambience for them to learn what is delivered. We believe in teaching by following the child. We strive to keep our child busy and develop life skills with learning activities through Co-curricular activities and sports. Today the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to empower its students to be lifelong learners. We try to provide the best possible environment for healthy development of children by providing a carefully planned and structured environment in which the child grows and learns in a natural way. Our motto ‘Touching Minds. Shaping Futures’ is our guiding force and we remain committed to our endeavor. Rightly said by Albert Einstein –“Imagination is more important than knowledge, for while knowledge defines all that we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.”

For a student of this age, the most valuable skills and knowledge are not composed of isolated facts and repetitive drills, but come from the child’s ability to make meaning of the work by integrating it with prior knowledge and experience.

We welcome the pupils experiences and of all members of our community
